Native American STEM Mentorship Program Last Year!

Posted about 4 years ago .

The Native American STEM Mentorship program is a 4-week long program held every summer up at Utah State University Logan. Students from USU Blanding are able to learn one on one with instructors in specific fields and in hands on work. The students live on campus, receive college credit, and are immersed in Utah State University as they learn more about the STEM field that interests them.

Due to the challenges of COVID, last year's NASMP was a little different, but just as rewarding. The Native American STEM Mentorship program was converted to an online experience. Students were given virtual learning opportunities, as well as hands-on experiences with their surrounding environments.

The Native American STEM Mentorship program for Summer of 2021, is still accepting applications. To learn more about the program applications and what is involved, you can go to this article.

After every program, the participating students create posters to exhibit what they have learned and how the program influenced them. The attachments below are the posters from NASMP 2020. Take a look!
